First-year Connections at RIT

Coming off of the last couple of years, the RIT chapter was struggling. We had key students graduate during the pandemic and had struggled to begin rebuilding during a season of primarily online interaction. This past fall, with permission from campus to engage in-person, we set and exceeded a significant goal to meet new (or new to us) students, focusing specifically on first-year students.

During freshman orientation, in which we had not previously been allowed to participate, we met several students and began a "First Year Connections" small group that ended up meeting all year! We also strategically created spaces for students from RIT and Eastman to build relationships, develop care for the other campus, and spur one another on, and some of the members from each leadership team attended our end-of-year chapter camp together. We are eagerly anticipating what God has for us in the coming year!
