God loves every student on campus, but more than half of today’s college students attend a campus where there is not an active group of Christians sharing the love and hope of Jesus with their classmates. By 2030 we would love to see a gospel movement planted on every campus in New York and New Jersey, particularly every campus that has at least 1,000 students.
Are you an alumni or friend of InterVarsity wanting to get more personally involved? Click below to learn about becoming a member of an advocacy council. We’re currently building councils for Rutgers and Buffalo but would love to hear from you no matter where you live.
Jesus is risen! He has given us everything we need to establish and advance witnessing communities at colleges and universities in New York and New Jersey. He has called us to go to every corner of every campus and bear witness to what we have seen and heard. But what has Jesus given to me so that I can know Him? How do I lead, not just serve others?
Evangelism intimidates us. We have many reasons to stay silent: “I’m afraid of rejection.” “I don’t know what to say.” “I don’t care about the lost.” But when we share the Gospel, we experience God’s presence intimately and God’s power exponentially. Grow your faith by giving it away.
InterVarsity’s New York City Urban Project exists to see leaders developed with the character and capacity to change the world. We believe that every person is made in the image of God to flourish, work, rule and create and be stewards NOT consumers as God intended.
